A picture of Sylco soil.The Sylco series consists of moderately deep, well drained soils on mountain ridges and side slopes. They formed in residuum weathered from metasedimentary rocks such as phyllite, slate, and metsandstone. Slope ranges from 7 to 95 percent.

TAXONOMIC CLASS: Loamy-skeletal, mixed, active, mesic Typic Dystrudepts
