A picture of Nason soil.Soils of the Nason series are deep and well drained. They are on uplands and formed in material weathered from schist and other fine grained metamorphic rocks. Slopes range from 0 to 50 percent. Mean annual precipitation is about 43 inches and mean annual temperature is about 63 degree F.

TAXONOMIC CLASS: Fine, mixed, semiactive, thermic Typic Hapludults
