A picture of Edneytown soil.The Edneytown series consists of very deep, well drained, moderately permeable soils on ridges and side slopes of the Blue Ridge (MLRA 130). They formed in residuum that is affected by soil creep in the upper part, and weathered from felsic to mafic, igneous and high-grade metamorphic rocks. Slopes range from 2 to 95 percent.

TAXONOMIC CLASS: Fine-loamy, mixed, active, mesic Typic Hapludults
